Privacy Policy

Listen Party is built with your privacy in mind. We collect the minimum data needed to run the iOS app and the listenparty.app website.

What We Collect

• Account information: your name and email (via Sign in with Apple, Google, or email sign-up) and user-created profile details (username, display name, profile photo).
• Activity: posts you share, comments, reactions, follow relationships, blocked users, post plays, the songs, artists, albums, and playlists you save or create, and your notifications.
• Push notification tokens: stored when you grant notification permission so we can deliver alerts about activity that involves you. Removed when you log out or delete your account.
• Newsletter email (website only): if you opt in on listenparty.app, your email is sent to Kit (kit.com) for delivery. We do not store newsletter emails on our own servers.
• Spotify tokens: stored securely on your device via iOS Keychain. Never sent to our servers.

What We Don't Collect

• We do not track your location.
• We do not use cookies on the iOS app or set tracking cookies on the website.
• The iOS app does not run analytics or collect device identifiers.
• We do not access your phone's contacts, microphone, camera, or photo library beyond what's needed for features you actively use (such as choosing a profile photo).

Children

Listen Party is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, contact us at info@listenparty.app and we will delete the account.

Data Storage

Account information and activity are stored on Supabase, which runs on AWS in the U.S. region, with encryption at rest. Profile images are stored in Supabase Storage. We keep your data only as long as your account is active — when you delete your account, all of your data is removed permanently.

Third-Party Services

Listen Party integrates with Apple Music (MusicKit), Spotify (Web API and iOS SDK), Supabase (database, authentication, storage), Apple Push Notification service, Kit (kit.com, newsletter delivery on the website only), and Vercel (website hosting and cookieless web analytics). Each is governed by its own privacy policy.

Your Rights

You can access, edit, or delete your data at any time from the app's settings. To export or request a copy of your data, email support@listenparty.app and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time from the app's settings. This permanently removes your profile, posts, comments, reactions, saved items, playlists, push notification tokens, and any other data tied to your account.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and notify users via the app or by email when appropriate.
